Mountain is a passion. It allows to surpass ourself, to meet people of exceptions, to find ourself also, in landscapes and outstanding conditions. Mountain, and not us, decides what can be made at the end, whatever can be the preparation. The mountain is also a lesson of humility.
I am married and I have 4 children. I am free of the usual constraints to assure my subsistence and that of my family. Thanks to this condition, I can dedicate myself partially to the learning of the mountain, to go always farther or higher or harder while trying to return alive!
I am allowed dream that the process is endless and my dreams are filled with these moments which I am going to try to describe here.

Through a photo are fleetings and unique feelings. The visitor will not find himself there directly but I hope that articles can arouse, in him, the desire to build projects, projects leading at his own unforgettable moments.

I think that a journey, to become a success, has to be prepared as much as it has to be lived then as to be described in a logbook. Each of these three stages possesses by itself its own essence and pleasure.
The extensive preparation is necessary to know what we want and can live beyond the simple dream of an exotic destination.
The description allows to structure and to memorize the key points of the journey. It is a necessity to progress,and widen fields of Adventure.
Every article is thus the opportunity to tell my experiences, in return of what was given to me in the forums, during the meetings and in the other sites at the time of the preparation: share my experience and my feelings, those who are not described in guides.

En cherchant des idées de randos pour cette automne, je suis tombé sur votre récit à propos du tour du Dhaulagiri en octobre 2013. J’ai lu avec beaucoup d’intérêts votre aventure, car je l’ai fait moi même en avril 2007 avec des amis, mais accompagné d’une équipe de sherpas qui assuraient la logistique. Je vous tire mon chapeau pour avoir affronté avec votre petite tente les éléments de ce tour, très minéral, ou la météo peut vous jouer à tout moment des tours. Effectivement, comme vous l’avez si bien dit, la difficulté de ce trek apparaît après le camp des italiens, une fois passé le corridor du Dhaulagiri et qu’on débouche sur le glacier du BC, ensuite passer le french pass, s’orienter dans l’hidden valley pour remonter sur le dhampus pass et plonger dans cette très très longue descente sur yakkarka. Si en plus la météo est pourri, il faut un sacré moral, pour se dire, on y va, ça doit passer,on ne va pas faire machine arrière. Heureusement pour nous en avril 2007, les dieux étaient avec nous et nous avons eu une météo stable, au beau temps, et surtout très peu de neige dans l’hidden vallée. Ce que je craignait le plus, par rapport à 2 amis, atteint du MAM, et qui vraiment ont puisé dans leurs forces intérieurs pour redescendre jusqu’à Marpha. Une fois de plus ce qui est étonnant, c’est que quand je regarde vos photos, j’ai l’impression de revoir les notres, car elles sont prises ont même endroits, avec le même champ. Comme, quoi certaines choses sont universelles. Merci encore pour votre reportage et ses détails. On a l’impression de le revivre. Car ce trek restera à jamais gravé dans ma mémoire, étant mon 1er grand trek et voyage à l’étranger : « un rêve de gosse »
